Gillian Arrighi, a contributor to TheConversation.com and a Senior Lecturer at Creative and Performing Arts at University of Newcastle, boasts of the behavior and academic benefits to children who participate in circus training.
According to the article, which you can find here, circus training allows for improved concentration in school, greater teamwork, and an increased self-esteem, social confidence, and sense of belonging, among many other benefits.

A big THANK YOU to contributor McCall of the blog “Sweat and Repeat”!
“Sweat and Repeat” is a Los Angeles-based blog that is dedicated to all the best ways for girls of the city to get their sweat on. The blog features such workouts as barre, bootcamp, pilates, spin, and more! Last week, contributor McCall came to Aerial Warehouse to participate in our adult parkour classes, taught by instructor Austin. Although she’s no parkour expert, she had a great time and wrote a rave review. Thank you McCall!

Acro-yoga is a physical practice which combines yoga and acrobatics.
AcroYoga may provide physical and mental health benefits. In addition to the exercise and strength building aspects of AcroYoga the partner balancing can improve concentration and the massage elements can provide stress relief. However Acroyoga is more vigorous than many traditional yoga practices and should be approached after you have had some yoga training.
Sign up for our OPEN ACRO gym here on Tuesdays and Wednesday from 7:30pm-9:30pm
What exactly is “parkour?” We found this article that helps explain the elements of parkour (aka freerunning) and it’s health benefits. If you or your kids want to try it for yourselves, sign up for our Parkour classes and learn how to safely “parkour” their way across the landscape!
